Pepper Market @ Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Welcome to the Pepper Market. It is located in El Centro a building consisting of the main sections of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It houses the Registration, this counter service restaurant, a grab and go restaurant, Panchito's a gift shop, Café Rix a lounge, and leads to the convention center. This building is basically the hub of the Resort. Especially if you are here for a convention. The entrance is oddly located on the side of the seating area and is a small entrance shown above.
The place itself is actually quite large. The above picture is of the seating area. At pepper market you walk in and are handed a ticket. You then look at all the stations and choose what you want to eat. They have a wide variety of selections that change from station to station. There are two Mexican themed stations as the Resort is Mexican themed. There is also a Pizza station where you can get personal or regular sized pizza. There is a generic Disney food station as I like to call it with chicken nuggets, french fries, hamburgers, and other normal Disney food. There is also a kind of southern station. Its had ribs, chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes.
Now don't quote me on what they have as menu items do change. So here is the link to Disney's website directly to Pepper Markets Menu.
We went with Mexican. It looked the best. We also got chicken nuggets and french fries for the kids to share. It's about 8 chicken nuggets and they are actually really good. Chunks of white meat chicken lightly fried. Anyway back to our meal pictured above. They are tacos. The red plate was the chicken and the blue plate was the beef. Both were made to order and pick your own toppings. We went with everything!
The beef was shredded. It was quite good. It was on a corn tortilla and the portion of meat was generous. It is topped with cheese, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cilantro. Each pate came with 3 tacos a side of tortilla chips. salsa, and sour cream. Oh and of course it came with a slice of lime. The salsa was a little on the spicy side but very good. My Husband who ordered the beef put the salsa all over the tacos and said they were delicious. That is until he tried mine!
The chicken tacos were also shredded and lightly covered in a spicy sauce. Not to spicy just a flavorful that hits you after the second taco kinda spicy lol. They were great. They came with the same thing as the beef tacos. I did not need to put the salsa on mine as I felt it was fully flavored just the way it was. In the beef tacos defense I did not try the beef until after my spicy chicken taco and it just didn't stand a chance. That chicken taco was sooooo good.
Over by the big bird man is where you get your drinks if you ordered a fountain drink, a coffee, tea or purchased a resort refillable mug. They have normal selections of soda along with lemonade and flavored iced tea.
There are also bottled choices that you can get from the beverage station by the food selections.
You pay on your way out. You take your ticket to the exit where they have registers set up for you to check out at. It took us about 2 minutes to pay. There were 3 registers open and we were the only ones checking out of the dining area.
The crowd was surprisingly light while we were there; as you can see from my pictures. It was a Tuesday, May 27 around 8:30 - 9ish pm. There were no conventions scheduled for that week and we did eat a little later than most families with children eat. However, I still think it was a light crowd for how good those tacos were. Mix that with the convenience of the restaurant being onsite and I think this place should be popular. I did see a lot of people walking away from Pepper Market as we made our way in with Pizza so maybe people would rather relax in their room with their food. I prefer to eat out of the room as Florida is known for it's vibrant bug community j/k.
