ALL STAR MUSIC RESORT

All Star Music Lobby

I want to start by saying All Star Music was better than I expected!!

I wasn't expecting much due to all the people that say Pop Century is so much better than the All Star Resorts. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my 3 day stay here. First a few more pics then a little more details.

Okay, I want to start by letting everyone know that All Star Music is a Value Resort. This means it is one of the 5 cheapest resorts on Disney property. During slow times this means under $100 a night. Which is a pretty good price considering all the Disney perks that come along with it. We went in early may and with a Florida Resident discount it was $81 a night $92 after all taxes and fees. There is always some discount to be had.

Some perks of staying onsite are no parking fees at the parks, bus service from the airport to your hotel, free magic bands for your entire party, an extra 30 days to make fastpass choices, and extra magic hours or emh. Those are just the big ones!!

So All Star Music is one of three All Star Resorts that opened in the early 90's. While it shows some signs of it's age it has been refurbished. This is the only All Star Resort with family suites. The only other Value Resort with suites in the newly built Art of Animation Resort and those are more expensive.

It is a standard "motel like" room. The value rooms are motel like due to their size. The bathrooms are smallish but well kept and clean like a hotel. The beds are double beds and there is a fridge but no microwave. There is a microwave and toasters available in the food court but we shall save that for another blog post. Below are pictures of a standard room.

Next we will go over the different sections of the Hotel including pools, food and shopping!

There are five sections of rooms at All Star Music. We were in the Broadway section.

Other than the Broadway section there is the Calypso section this is where all the preferred rooms are located along with the main pool.

That is followed by the Jazz section. Which is the next closest to transportation and the food court.

The next two sections of equal distance from the main building are the Broadway section pictured first and the Rock Inn section. I don't have any pictures of this or the next section as I was with my two small children and it's not exactly a short walk after a long day!!

The farthest section is the Cowboy section. It is awesomely themed with Woody's boots. If you like peace and quite or you are driving and have your own vehicle this section may be for you.

On to the pools!!

There are two pools here at All Star Music Resort. The main pool in the Calypso section that is a happening place to be or the quieter Piano Pool nestled in the middle of the back three sections.

Here is the main pool:

Sorry no pics of the piano pool as it turns out three days is not enough at even a value resort!!!

The gift shop is smaller than the one at Pop Century but still has a very good selection. It is located in the main building where you eat and check in. The gift shop is also where you will pick up your items that you bought in the park and sent back to the hotel. Another perk of staying on Disney property.

The Food Court is our next order of business. I will not go into detail here as that can fill a whole other blog entry that I will write tomorrow! It is called the intermission food court and had a variety of selections. Not like Port Orleans Riverside or anything but still good for a value resort. Here are a few pics.

And that's it!! I personally liked it just as much as Pop Century maybe even more due to it's more compact size. I'd be happy to stay here again as a small party. There were three of us and we fit perfect. Four I find to be snug but doable.

The buses were great. We never waited more than ten minuted to get to a park or to get back from a park. We did leave the parks at off peak hours or right before the finish of Wishes to avoid the heaviest crowds. Oh and we never shared a bus with another All Star Resort. I know that is a concern many have. We did not experience sharing.
